Treatments and prices

Everything we do, what it costs, how many visits it takes, and — the column nobody publishes — what would make it cost more than the lower figure. If a price is going to change, we tell you why before we start.

Three real totals

A list of individual prices still does not answer “what will this actually cost me”. So here are three whole answers.

What we do not do here

Referring you somewhere else is not us failing. It is the job.

We will tell you roughly what it costs there before you go, so you are not finding out in someone else’s waiting room.

  • Orthognathic (jaw) surgery

Goes to: A hospital oral-surgery department in Bangkok

Roughly, there: ฿180,000–400,000, and a hospital stay

  • Full-arch or multiple implants

Goes to: An implant centre in Bangkok or Hua Hin

    Roughly, there: ฿45,000–90,000 per implant

  • Complex oral surgery

    Goes to: Hospital

Roughly, there: Depends entirely; they will quote you

  • Full orthodontics

Goes to: An orthodontist in Hua Hin

Roughly, there: ฿40,000–70,000 over 18–30 months

Things we would rather you heard here

  • A root canal can turn into an extraction. Sometimes a tooth turns out to be cracked below the gum once we are inside it. The work already done is already paid for. It is not common, and it is not never.
  • A crown takes two weeks between visits, because the lab is in Bangkok. There is no same-day crown here.
  • Whitening may not do much for you. We will say so before you pay.
  • We do not direct-bill insurance. We give you an itemised receipt and you claim it yourself.
